Wellington machine operator afternoon shift

Expol Ltd is a leading and progressive national polystyrene manufacturing company with moulding plants and distribution branches throughout New Zealand.  Expol’s branch in Wingate has been thriving over the last 12 months and my client is currently seeking an afternoon shift machine operator (2-10.30pm) to join their busy team of three.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for processing work orders in an efficient manner to meet company quality control, and throughput standards We are looking for an energetic, hard working, reliable person who has had experience operating production machinery.  We offer steady work plus overtime but excellent team culture in a great working environment.  You will not be expected to do repairs and maintenance, but will be required to be watchful and pick up any machinery faults or repairs and let the branch manager know.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be fit, healthy and reliable, and have a current full drivers licence. You will have the following work experience and attitudes:

  • previous experiences in manufacturing, production of factory settings
  • excellent attention to details
  • good communicator
  • Some ability to use mechanical hand tools
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Team orientated
  • Have a high regard for health & safety
  • Fork lift licence preferred but not necessary
  • Lifting of batches of polystyrene produces (not heavy)
  • Able to operate trollies, forlift and other vehicles as and when required

About the Role – this is a duel role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for machining and processing work orders to meet company quality control, and throughput standards. In addition you will be assisting the Branch Manager, from time to time – to look after the calls, despatching and ensuring the planned prouduction work is completed.   We are looking for an energetic, hard working, reliable person who has had experience operating production machinery and some basic office skills.  We offer steady work plus overtime.  You will not be expected to do repairs and maintenance, but will be required to be watchful and pick up any machinery faults or repairs and let the branch manager know.

Customer Services- Account Management

Expol Ltd is a leading and progressive national polystyrene manufacturing company with moulding plants and distribution branches throughout New Zealand.

My client has a vacancy in the Christchurch Branch for an Account Manager with sales and customer service flare Reporting into the Technical Manager this is a varied and busy role and will suit someone with a proven track record in customer service and account management.  Technical training will be given.

About the Role:

On a typical day you will be in the office 70% providing providing pricing and quotes, , coordinating and providing in-store training, answering customer sales queries, tracking customer sales, analysing our competitors and  identifying new clients and setting up appointments.  You will also work closely with the production team to place and coordinate your orders and other sales administrative tasks.  The other 30% of your time will be on the road, visiting our exisiting client base and strengthening our relationships with them, visiting new prospects for sales.


The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following key requirements for the role:

  • Proven account management
  • Excellence in customer service
  • Confident to sell to new markets/clients
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy with sales data
  • Intermediate-advanced keyboard and Microsoft skills
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage client queries/issues in a timely manner

Machine Operator/Trainee Supervisor

Expol Ltd is a leading and progressive national polystyrene manufacturing company with moulding plants and distribution branches throughout New Zealand.  Expol’s has been thriving over the last 24 months and my client is currently seeking to hire a  full time machine operator who wants to progress and learn aspects of supervising such as ensuring machinery is at capacity during the shift and planned workloads are met.

About the Role 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for machining and processing work orders to meet company quality control, and throughput standards. In addition you will be assisting the Supervisor with ensuring the planned workload is achieved.

You will need to be an energetic, hard working, reliable person who has experience operating production machinery, ensure quality of product and perform general maintenance on the machinery.  You will have mechanical aptitude and there is potential to learn aspects of supervising over time. We offer steady work plus overtime.


Our Ideal Candidate

You will be fit, healthy and reliable, and have a current full drivers licence. This role would suit an experienced machine  operator who understands quality control and wants to progress to learning aspects of supervising shifts whilst working on the machines. You will have the following work experience and attitudes:

  • Previous experiences as a machinery operator is essential
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance routines on machinery
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communicator
  • Some ability to use mechanical hand tools
