Today, we’re excited to share an important milestone in that journey:

Solar installation has officially begun at our Auckland branch.
Once installation is complete, our site will generate significant clean electricity directly from the sun. We’ll continue to share updates as the final system is completed.

Why We’re Moving to Solar
For many reasons – environmental and economic, now is the right time for solar.

New Zealand’s energy demand continues to grow, and greener building practices are becoming essential for both consumers and businesses. By installing solar, we’re taking proactive steps to reduce our own footprint while supporting a more resilient national energy future.

What This Means for Our Impact
Once fully operational, our new solar system is expected to deliver:

Over 153,000 kWh of clean energy every year
This will significantly reduce the amount of electricity we draw from the grid.

The carbon reduction is equivalent to planting around 2,800 trees annually
A measurable environmental benefit that supports NZ’s climate goals.

Long-term operational savings
The system is projected to save Expol over $1M across 25 years, allowing us to reinvest in innovation and further sustainability initiatives.
