EXPOL Hush - Specialised Acoustic InsulationAcoustic Properties of Hush

Sound absorption using EXPOL Hush is based essentially on the transformation of sound energy into thermal energy by air particles moving through the open, narrow and deep pores of the material.

EXPOL Hush has excellent acoustic properties, offering a sound absorption coefficient of 0.8 at 80mm in thickness at a frequency level of 500 Hz. For reference, the human voice range is 330 for a deep male voice, to 3400 Hz for a high pitched female voice. EXPOL Hush also has excellent thermal properties with an insulation efficiency of 0.032 W/mK. Add to that its fire resistant properties, and it makes an excellent choice for specialised acoustic applications.
